The property
Built in 1964 for a Genoese shipowner, the villa is the work of a Luis Barragán student who came to settle on the French Riviera after three years in Mexico. He retained a taste for simple volumes and patios that organize light rather than submit to it.
The house has known only two families. The second, owner since 1991, entrusted restoration to the original firm: the lime renders were remade identically, the iroko joinery removed and reinstalled, and the entire technical installation redone without altering a single opening.
The grounds, designed in the same spirit, descend in three terraces planted with century-old olives and cypresses to a private jetty. In late afternoon, light traverses the house from end to end, from the entrance patio to the sea.
Exact address and plans communicated after meeting, at the family's request.
